Delays to be expected at peak times.** Gaston Lane & Barleywood Farm Lane, Farringdon - Gaston Lane and Barleywood Farm Lane closed from junction with Selborne Road to junction with Crows Lane from 19/01/2009 for approx. 2 weeks. Local diversions in place.** Mill Lane, Hawkley - Road closed from junction with Empshott Green Lane to its junction wioth Steadfast Lane from 9/02/2009 for approx. 10 days. Local diversions in place.** Victoria Road, Fleet - Roadworks between junction of Fleet Road and Victoria Road from 12/01/09 for approx. 5 days. Local diversions in place.** Whiteknap Lane, Romsey - Road closed between Botley Road and link road to Northlands Road from 12/01/09 for approx. 4 days. TERMINUS TERRACE/BERNARD STREET . Temporary signals will be in operation 24hrs per day on Terminus Terrace at the jct with Bernard Street from 6th January 2009 to 7th January 2009 to allow for the installation of a new traffic signal controller. . TEBOURBA WAY . Construction of a Toucan Crossing plus kerb and drainage works is scheduled for 06/01/2009 to 14/02/2009 at the jct with Romsey Rd. Also from 12/03/2009 till 22/04/2009 further kerbing and footway works with pedestrian facility is planned at the jct with Oakley Rd. . FURZEDOWN ROAD . Furzedown Road is to be closed from its jct with Highfield Lane to its jct with Oakhurst Road from 19th January 2009 for 2 weeks. This is to allow gas main replacement work to take place. Diversion is via Highfield Lane, Hawthorn Road & Oakhurst Road. . WEST QUAY ROAD . West Quay Road: A lane closure both directions between Leisure World and Harbour Parade is in place for roadworks. These works are part of the ongoing works for IKEA. Also the right turn from West Quay Service Road into West Quay Road is to be banned for 2 weeks from 12th January 2009 to allow highway improvement work to be carried out. The gap in the central reservation will also be closed. . DALE ROAD . Dale Road will be partially closed on its east side between Winchester Road & Tremona Road for a period of ten weeks from the 5th January 2009 Also Norham Avenue will be closed from its jct with Dale Road for a distance of 25 metres for four weeks commencing 19th January 2009. This is to allow for Gas Main replacement work to be carried out. The diversion for Dale Road is via Tremona Road, Warren Avenue & Winchester Road or via Tremona Road, Coxford Road, Lordswood Road, Hill Lane & Winchester Road. The diversion for Norham Avenue is via Vincent Avenue or Bladon Road. . MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD . Closed early hours (0100-0700hrs) Sunday 11th January 2009 for maintenance work to level crossing. Diversion. . BURGESS ROAD . A35 Burgess Road ( east ). Works at the Boldrewood University site will result in lane closures in both directions in Burgess Rd commencing Monday 6th October 2008 and lasting until late February 2009. Delays expected particularly at peak times. . HIGH STREET . Highway improvements to be carried out over a period of 44 weeks between jcts with West St and East St commencing Monday 15th September 2008. Travelled allowed northbound only. . BRITON STREET . Highway improvement work from Monday 10th November 2008 for 8 weeks between jct with High St and jct with Queensway and then a further 12 weeks from Monday 5th January 2009 between the High St and Queens Terrace. . FARRINGFORD ROAD . Road closed for 28 weeks commencing Monday 18th August 2008 from its jct with Burns Road to its jct with Solent Avenue to allow highway maintenance works to be carried out. Diversion. . OXFORD STREET . Road closed westbound for 28 weeks commencing Monday 4th August from the boundary of the Mountbatten Centre to the jct with Latimer Street to allow a safe working area for the re-development of Mountbatten Centre. Diversion via John Street and Bernard Street. . ARCHERS ROAD . Parking restriction (No Waiting at Any Time) will be in place for 18 months from Mon 12th November 2007 from: a point 18m west from the south east corner of its jct with The Avenue, for a distance of 90m westbound. This is to provide a safe working area for footway realignments and to alleviate access difficulties. . ALBERT ROAD SOUTH . Development works to be carried out over a period of some 60 weeks commencing Monday 18th February 2008 will result in road/footway closures and waiting restriction changes. . LIVERPOOL STREET . Footpath closed for 35 weeks between number's 61 and 66 Liverpoool St to allow safe construction of new residential properties commencing Monday 15th Sept 2008. . |
